About Us
Catahoula Coulee Ranch is a business partnership of two sisters, Donna and Debra, in Kenedy Texas. Although we have raised many other breeds of cattle through the years, we decided to raise Texas Longhorns. Our first attraction to TL was their beautiful variety of colors and horns. Eye candy to us! Then discovering other qualities such as their longevity, so incredibly prolific with very low birth weight making calving much easier. Their growth rate and quality of lean meet are exceptional. The calm disposition we have found in both our herd sires far surpasses any other breed we've raised.
We acquired our TL from three outstanding breeders.
Dickinson Cattle Company in Barnesville, Ohio (ITLA),
Struthoff Ranch in San Antonio, Texas (TLBAA) and
Rocking O Longhorns in Lockhart, Texas (both ITLA &TLBAA). Soooo...we are both
ITLA and
TLBAA as both have great qualities and found it hard to choose just one. After several years we have turned to
Hired Hand for our website. They are the best at "who's your daddy"!
